San Diego Film Equipment, LLC, a California limited liability company (SDFE, we, us), operates sandiegofilmequipment.com. This policy describes how we handle information relating to our website, rental requests, customer accounts, and communications. It does not enroll you in text messaging or replace a rental agreement.
Information we collect
- Information you provide: your name, business or organization, contact information, account information, rental requests, equipment selections, proposed rental dates, delivery or pickup details, and messages or documents you send us.
- Website information: IP address, browser and device information, request and security logs, pages visited, and cookies or similar information used to operate and understand the website.
- SMS information: if you choose to enroll when messaging is available, your mobile number, consent choice and record, associated rental request, message contents, opt-out requests, and delivery or error information.
Please do not send passwords, payment-card details, or sensitive identity documents through SMS.
How we use information
We use information to respond to inquiries, prepare and manage rental requests and orders, provide account access, coordinate equipment pickup, delivery and returns, communicate with you, maintain business records, troubleshoot the website, prevent misuse, and meet legal obligations. Authorized staff may use relevant rental information to fulfill and support your request.
SMS privacy and consent
SMS participation is optional and is not a condition of purchase or rental. Providing a phone number or agreeing to this policy alone is not consent to receive text messages. When available, enrollment requires a separate, unchecked SMS consent box that you actively select on the rental request form.
Messages concern your rental requests and related customer service, not advertising. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Once the program is enabled, reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance. You can also contact us by phone or email. We retain opt-out information as needed to honor your choice. We do not sell personal information. We do not share customer information with other businesses for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information, text messaging originator opt-in data, and consent are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
SMS service providers, including Twilio and telecommunications providers, may process mobile numbers, messages, consent or opt-out information, and delivery data as necessary to operate and deliver the messaging service on our behalf. This limited service processing does not permit those providers to use your consent for their own messaging programs.
Service providers and other disclosures

Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information.
