SMS Terms & Conditions

These SMS Terms & Conditions apply to the rental messaging program operated by San Diego Film Equipment, LLC, a California limited liability company (SDFE). They supplement, and do not replace, your rental agreement.

Rental messages

When you separately opt in, SDFE may send text messages about your submitted rental request or order, including pending-request follow-ups, pickup or delivery coordination, confirmed pickup reminders, return reminders, and replies to your rental questions. This program does not include advertising or promotional text messages. A text message does not itself confirm equipment availability or change your rental agreement.

Program status: SMS sending is not yet enabled. The program is being prepared for launch after verification and testing. For assistance now, please call or email us using the contact information below.

Your choice and consent

Enrollment uses a separate, optional, unchecked SMS consent box on our rental request form when the program is available. You must actively select that box and submit the form to opt in. Providing a phone number, creating an account, accepting a rental agreement, or accepting these terms alone does not enroll you. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchase or rental. You may place a rental request without consenting to texts.

Only provide a mobile number you own or are authorized to use. Let us know if your number changes or is reassigned. Enrollment is through the web form; we do not currently offer keyword-only enrollment.

Frequency and charges

Message frequency varies with your rental activity and conversations with us. Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier's rates and terms apply.

Stopping messages and getting help

Once messaging is enabled, reply STOP to any program message to opt out. You may receive one confirmation of your opt-out; further program messages will stop unless you provide fresh consent. You may also request an opt-out by contacting us. Opting out of texts does not cancel your rental or prevent us from contacting you by other appropriate methods about it.

Reply HELP for assistance once messaging is enabled, or call 619-940-4327 or email rental@sandiegofilmequipment.com. Do not use SMS for emergencies or assume a reply is monitored continuously. For time-sensitive rental changes, call us.

Delivery and availability

SMS delivery depends on your carrier, device, network coverage, and other conditions. Delivery and timing are not guaranteed. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Check your rental confirmation and contact SDFE if a date or other detail is unclear.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle mobile numbers, consent records, message contents, and delivery information. Mobile information and SMS opt-in data and consent are not sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Service providers may process information only as needed to operate and deliver the messaging service on our behalf.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms by posting a revised version and date. Material changes to the messaging purpose require any new consent that applies; an update to these terms does not enroll you in a new program.
